During Berlinale BWGBTLD invites you to a private screening of The Thread by Fenn O’Meally, followed by her short, SIMZ.
Set in the mid-2000s Midlands, The Thread follows Curtis (15) and Grace (10), siblings of dual heritage growing up in a rural town
in the West Midlands, England. Their mother Esther, White British and father David, Black Jamaican, the two children start to attach
role models to their identities, navigating their way towards a sense of self, between black and white.
