In the words of Lewis Del Mar:
“As a group we’ve always been about embracing limitations. When we shot the video for ‘the ceiling’ during quarantine we played with the idea of projection as a creative solution. This technique also served as a means of representing the different selves and past lives that appear on the album. We loved the result and wanted to see how far we could run with this idea.
So on the night the ceiling was released we strapped a high grade projector to the bed of a pickup truck and drove around New York, projecting the video onto both personal and historic landmarks. It was a night that could have only existed in the midst of a global pandemic, when the city was emptier than it ever has been and it served as a powerful punctuation to the journey of these songs, that were brought to life in many of these places.”
