ABOUT US
BWGTBLD is a commercial film production company based in Berlin. We're early adopters of new technology in how we work and what we build. We want a developer who'll push that further with us.
THE ROLE
A full-stack role across web and mobile, including apps we plan to ship. You'll work closely with our technology lead and product owner, taking features from idea through to release.
This team moves fast and works at the edge of new tooling. The AI and developer-stack landscape shifts month by month, and we build accordingly. What we ship next quarter won't look like what we shipped last quarter. We want someone who finds that exciting.
Expect direct ownership, fast iteration, and a flat communication structure.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience building web and/or mobile products, or strong equivalent in personal or open-source work.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Experience with, or strong interest in, mobile development.
- AI-fluent in your development workflow. You use modern AI tools as a core part of how you build, can articulate where they help and where they fail, and adapt as the toolset shifts.
- Curious, experimental, future-thinking. You see the fast-changing AI and dev tooling landscape as an opportunity to move faster, and you actively try new things as they emerge.
- Adaptable. Comfortable working with tools that haven't fully settled, and ready to swap one out when something better arrives.
- Strong product instincts. You care how things feel to use.
- English working language, written and spoken.
- EU-based with right to work in the EU.
- Self-directed and organised enough to work remotely and async.
Bonus:
- Background in or strong familiarity with the commercial film, advertising, or creative production industry. A major plus. Understanding how production teams work, what a treatment is, how pitches happen — all of it lets you build the right thing faster.
- Shipped or contributed to a mobile app (App Store, Play Store, internal distribution, or solid prototype).
- Experience integrating with LLM APIs.
- A side project, internal tool, or freelance product you can talk about.
